Casual Dinner Party

  • Viva Tastings Catering Kitchen 52 Henry Street Toronto, ON, M5T 1X2 Canada (map)

Learn how to create the perfect casual dinner party menu from scratch with Chef Karen.

Take the stress out of hosting with this effortless make-ahead menu. In this hands-on class, you will learn how to create a casual dinner party perfect for gathering with friends.

The menu begins with layering a vibrant salad with arugula, fennel fresh herbs and homemade vinaigrette. Then, learn how to assemble chicken phyllo stuffed with goat cheese, leeks and roasted garlic, and discover how to prepare a flavour-packed Rice Pilaf. Finish your dinner party with a decadent molten chocolate cake. Your next dinner party will surely impress your guests!

After the preparation, our chef instructors will plate the meal, and the students will be seated to enjoy their creations. During the meal, the student chefs will explain how they prepared their recipe so that everyone learns to make all the dishes. The recipes will be e-mailed to the students after the class.

Menu

The stated menu may differ due to seasonality, ingredient availability, and our creative impulses. However, the final menu will remain faithful to the course theme.

There is no refund for the class. However, if you cannot make the scheduled date and let us know five working days before your confirmed class, we will reschedule you for a future class.

Cancellations: If you must cancel at the last minute, please send a friend to your place, as we have planned the class for the confirmed number of guests.

Change in Class Date: If, due to unforeseen circumstances, this class has to be moved to another date, you will be notified at least two working days before the class.
